Boat Drama in Gold Coast...

My aunt and uncle came from KL on Thursday, so we had a huge family gathering again last weekend. Woohoo! The best part is that they're all in Gold Coast, all the more reason to head down south! =D Anyway, my uncle who owns a boat decided to bring us for a spin around the coast and to collect some sea cucumber. I didn't know they just lie on the sea bed! LOL!!

This is a view of Surfers from the boat. It was beautiful!!

We were supposed to leave the house by 9am, but there were some problems with the battery so by the time we actually left, it was already 11am... The sun was shining, so it was really a good time to go out on the boat. There were heaps of other people on boats too. Everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather and the shining sun...

My uncle's boat.

Everything was going fine and according to plan, except the part when we got slightly lost. LOL! They had a good harvest... still within the legal allowance... don't worry... didn't break any rules... ;) And then, on the way back... That's when the drama began!!

The tides were going down so fast that it was really difficult to manoeuvre the boat. That was also because of the winds as well. We had to make sure we didn't go into the shallow parts and keep only to the deep part. But it's so hard to see, and we were also rushing for time... We got stuck a couple of times, but we always manage to free ourselves. So when we got really stuck, as in stuck, stuck... I didn't realise that we were... stuck...

Both my uncles had to come down from the boast, the water was only waist deep, to try free the boat. Luckily despite the strong winds and the fast residing tide, they managed to get the boat free. We thought the episode was over until we saw a sign that said, "EXIT TO COOMERA". Damnnn, we have been driving the wrong direction! Suppose to be heading down south, but we went up north! It started to get cold when the sun set with the wind blowing into our faces. But luckily we managed to survive the drama without anyone getting hurt, except my uncle who got a cold after that...

Anywayyy, more photos!!

Cousins running to the top of the sand dunes...

Before the drama we got to stop at a beautiful beach! Not many people so we basically had the beach to ourselves and a couple of others. Caught some crabs... lol.. actually it was only a small baby crab...

Cousin's hand holding the tiny little baby crab...

It was so fun and I'm so glad I went... Destress myself and eat yummy delicious food... sheesh, I can still taste the pavlova.... yummmm.... and the chocolate cake my aunt baked... ahhhh.... Ok ok... enough of food... too much food intake over the weekend already! Haha!

So yup.. that was my weekend... have to stop and do some reading now.. =( just now during Psyc tutorial we had this little quiz thingy and I had NO IDEA how to answer most of the questions!! badddddd!!!!

Terfainted...

Oh, the title just means that I fainted accidently. hahaa... Sorry.. LAME!! Heheee...

Hmmm... Oh yaaaa, Merry Belated Christmas and Happy Belated New Year to all of you!! Haven't been coming online 'coz I can't stand the sucky internet slowness... Argh! Australia pamper me with the fast and expensive internet connection, though sometimes it sucks, but still better than the internet here... AIYAAA!! Ok, enough of complains.. haha... sorry, got carried away...

So Christmas... go ngabang-ngabang (visit-visit)... On Christmas itself, started from Kuching then go to Matang area right up to Padawan... aiyo, so full that day... Then Boxing day, tackle area Serian to 7th Mile to BDC... Sorry to those who are not from Kuching, this probably doesn't make any sense. Haha... New Year... what did I do?? Oh ya, count down in church.. it wasn't so bad... even though I had a bad stomachache... Oooh, then went to a longhouse and overnight there. It was really fun if you minus away the zillians of mossie bites I had and the backache I got from sleeping on the floor.. I don't know why I was the only one who got bitten so badly! So unfair! But other than that, it was fun~~ :D

Okie... then comes the fainted part la right... Actually, I also don't know whats wrong... Just suddenly like that. Even the specialist couldn't find anything wrong with me. He just said, "Based on the examinations just now, there is nothing wrong with you, your blood test and the heart tracing was all normal... so... it just means you fainted." See, I told you Dad I'm ok... We didn't have to spend RM100+ to have the doctor tell me I fainted... I know I fainted... but of course just to make sure I'm normal and stuff... but really.. it was a scary experience... :S

I don't know whether I'll still blog about my trip to Santubong with Ko and the others, and the BBQ sessions or not... Coz lazy la.. hahaha... we'll see how it goes ok??

Happy New School Term everyone~~

Raya Action

Haha.. Soo, I didn't really missed out on Raya this year. Woohoo! Tho the food was disappointing... ohwellzzz, that just confirms one thing. Home food's still the best! Yupsiree!

So, where shall I start... Right, from the fact that it seemed like we were waiting the whole day for someone, or something!! Hui Quan and I purposely woke up early to go for the 8am Mass. The Mass finished at 8.54am and we waited until like 10.45 plus for some people. We were suppose to meet at 10am.

Anyway, pass the waiting time, we had to wait for the bus which came at 11.10am, and then came the nightmare. No one knew where the venue was!! Sorta reminded me of Raya back home. Haha! Dad can never remember where's his friends' houses at. But anyhow, we got to the place at one piece.

We still have to wait for the Muslims to pray. And when they came back, the late comers where invited to go pray, so we had to wait some more. By then, I wasn't hungry anymore. Then we had to wait for them to pray over the food. Then... when we finally were invited to eat, we had to queue up under the bloody hot sun!! IT WAS FRIGGING HOT!! The worst thing was, the food wasn't even worth the wait...

BUT, the atmosphere and the people made it lively and great. We had fun didn't we! Haha. Should do this more often.

Ohhh, there was a best dress competition too.. Guess who won Mr Raya?

ha! don't lie, you didn't expect an ORANG PUTIH to win right?!!

Yup, he won Mr Raya. He deserved it anyway. He was the best looking guy there. SO CUTE!! After the eating part, we took heaps of photos. Won't bore you guys to death with the many photos we took. It was kinda weird going to this thing tho, I haven't seen so many Malaysians in my 5 months stay here. Haha! It was like, I was in Malaysia again. The heat and everything.. Raya songs... Speaking in Malay... yeahhh, basically like Malaysia.. except the food jak yang fail!

GROUP PHOTO!

At the end of the visit, we took a group photo, though most of them I do not know. LOLZ! But multiracial laa... Actually salah, not multiracial... multinegara baru betul! Haha... Ya, Malaysians + Singaporean + Vietnamese + Indonesian semua campur in the group photo.

Still miss home la... :P

Still very much awake at 2.20am on a Monday morning

I know, I know... I should be in bed... but... lazy... haha! I just finished my Economics commentary la... If you really wanna know, I think I wrote a whole lot of bull in it... I really don't know what to write and what should I be writing... Sigh, see... boys and girls, this is the result of last minute work. You just crap your way through assignments... which most of the time you'll end up with crap marks too.

Anywayzzz, I have NO IDEA why I'm still very much awake. I was very tired in the afternoon... I slept in the train! Lucky I woke up at South Brisbane, if not I might've missed Roma St Station!! Oh, I was at the Gold Coast for the weekend to give my support and love to my dearest, pretty cousin who was having a dance performance on Saturday. LOLz!

My highlight of the weekend

I went to the Gold Coast on Friday after lunch... I sort of ate all my leftovers which has been sitting inside the fridge for ages. Haha... Then, the rush to finish Internet credit while packing... Finally only leaving the house at 2.50pm. Then took a bus down to Roma St, which then I caught the train to Nerang. Boy, was the train full!!! I'm never ever gonna take the train on a Friday afternoon when people finish work!! Anyway, I was lucky to get a seat, but I was battling with my eyes to stay awake. I was afraid I might fall on the guy next the me. And he was dozing off too!! Arrived at Nerang at about 4.35pm, and then my aunt and cousins took me to I-don't-remember-what-beach but they had this really good Fish & Chips shop with a fish market or something like that. I don't know how to describe it except it must a pretty good 'coz there were loads of locals queuing up for food.

Then on Saturday the dance performance and the meeting up with the Chan clan... lolz.. It was fun meeting everyone again... It has been sometime since the last I saw them... Fine, it was just a few weeks ago but still... long time ago. LOLz! Then that evening, we went to another cousin's place to swim... We wanted to, but the water was freezing so we played wii instead. Oh, a reminder to self: ask Matt to get Mario Race thingy game... haha

Then on Sunday, which was yesterday, we went to Burleigh Beach (i think it's spelt like that). There we made our sandcastle, while the guy-next-to-us' stuff were pecked to death by a wild bush turkey. The male turkey had this yellow skin thingy around its neck, and my little cousin Thomas said, "Look the turkey's wearing a necklace!". How cute is that!!

The kids building the sandcastle

After that we went for lunch and got Thomas a train (he's obsessed with Thomas Train, you should hear him say Island of Sodor, "Eiyan Shodoe"). He's soooo adorable! Anyway, after that they send me to Robina where I took a train up to Brisbane.

I'm so confused! I keep thinking I'm going up to Gold Coast and down to Brisbane, when it's the other way round... Or is it... oh wells, just look at the map! LOL!

here's me with Thomas...

Ok, I better try to get some sleep now... Somebody's quoting my "I swear it's this house that's making me sleep late". That quote sabo me la... Haihzzz...
Righty-O... Gute Nacht! Good night! S'lamat malam! Buenos noches (if that's how it's spelt), Wan An (Chinese??).. haha.. ok.. fine, language fail! LOLz...

If the snow won't come to me... I'll go to the snow!

and that was exactly what I did...

No... Actually, that was what my host dad did... He brought me to the snow... Was really nice of him tho... After all these depressing stuff going around my head. Not that he's not nice normally... I mean, he is nice all the time... well, you get what I mean, don't you?

So like... we drove about 2 to 3 hours to the highest point of Nordrhein-Westfalen, the region where I'm staying in Germany, which is Kahler Asten. I woke up at about 8am AGAIN! You know, this waking up early stuff is really driving me up the wall... 'coz I get so tired afterwards but I can't sleep. Annoying that is! So after breakfast we got dressed up all warm and all in the quest to find snow. Tell you the truth, I didn't believe that I would see snow at all since it was really warm... ok, 6° isn't really that warm, but warm for snow to snow... get what I mean? No? Egal.... And then as we got nearer and higher the temperature dropped 0.5° every 100m higher. Hah! I knew that from Form 3 Geography and today I witness the phenomena! LOL!

Anyways, we saw snow on the cars in the opposite direction, and I got excited like what. And then.... we started to see snow on the side of the road... and then on signboards, and trees... and then... It started to snow!! Ok, it was more rain than snow... but who cares... it's still snow.

So we got out of the car into the freezing cold outside... and started walking... and walking... and then we saw some snowmen.... And then my host dad asked whether I wanted to take photo with the snowman... I was like, pffff, I'm here with loads of snow...as if I wanna take photo with some snowman some other people build... I also can build one myself. Haha... Well, I tried... my host dad helped... So we rolled the snow into a ball... no wait... 3 balls... I made 2, and he made 1. He didn't have gloves with him so it was too cold for barehands. Imagine... -0.5°!
If you're wondering the photo up there... it's my snow ball... Hard ok to make it really round... don't believe?? Make yourself then... then see who laugh at who's.... =P

So yeah... after few minutes of hard cold work... my snowman was finished. Well, I won't say I did a great job, besides it IS my first snowman in my life... and it was frigging cold!! and it was cold... and did I mention it was FRIGGING COLD??

You guys still wanna see my snowman ar?? Really??? Don't laugh then...

I said, DON'T LAUGH!!

Don't laugh means don't laugh...

I told you not to laugh...

Weihnachtsmarkt Münster

Ya ya.... It's the Christmas Season now in Germany... Yeah, we have Christmas chocolates, Christmas candies, Christmas cookies, Christmas cakes, Christmas everything.... yeap, even Christmas market (Weihnachstmarkt)... Ok, I have no idea what's it called in English, but direct translation then... yeah, Christmas market.

So yeah, I was in Münster... with AFS... and we went to the Weihnachtsmarkt. We left Dinslaken at about 10.18am, to Duisburg. Took the next train to Münster. It was really cool, and funny!

Hezlich Willkommen = Welcome!!

Some of the stalls...

Weihnachtsmarkt in the dark

Our group: Marian, Julian, me, Emily Marie, and Lydia.

We kept walking in and out the market. And there was one point where we had no idea where we were... and then 5 minutes later we found out we were 2 minutes from the Main Station. Haha!

Tja, that was our Saturday! It was really cool!

Buon Giorno from ROMAAAAAAA!

Ciao!! Come stai??

Hello!! How are you??

As some of you guys know, I was in Rome... Yeah, ROME!!! Capital city to Italian!!! *omgomgomgomgomgomg* OK, I'll stop. *deep breath*

Left the house in Hünxe at about 2am... and then drove (not me lah! My host dad...) the 3 hours to Frankfurt Hann. Left Frankfurt at about 7am. Arrived in Rome at 9am. The view from the plane was super geil! We could see the Colosseo, Basilica di San Pietro (St Peter's Basilica), and etc.

From Rome Airport, we took the bus to Rome's Main Station, and from there on we walked to our hotel. We went to the wrong side of the Station, and after 10 minutes of walking we realise we were wrong. Had to walk all the way to the Station again, and then to the other side, and start all over again. 2 blocks, right... straight... etc. Anyway, arrived our Hotel save and sound, left our bags there and wasted no time to see ROME!

The 2 days I was there were not wasted. I saw the whole of Rome... ok, most of Rome I would put it. I was at the Vatican City, Colosseum, St Peter's Basilica, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna (Spanish Steps), Church of Santa Maria and The Mouth of Truth, Basilica di Santa Maria Sopra Minerva, Basilica di San Paolo Fuori le Mura (St Paul's Dome) and etc. Basically everything everyone wanna see in Rome.

On Saturday the weather was super, with really blue sky. We had luck, it rained while we were in the Musei Vanticani (Vantican Museum), and then after that we had only really good weather. On Sunday, it rained and rained and rained. =(

Basically I can say I met the Pope... only that he was inside St Peter, and I was outside. But then counted also as seeing, 'coz I saw him on the big screen they have outside St Peter. And it's not TV or something, it's because St Peter's too full, so the people can attend Mass outside the Basilica too. Was really cool. I heard his voice, he spoke in Latin, I catch no ball. =P

The Backstreet Boy were in Rome too!!!!!!! But I didn't see them tho. T.T Only saw their fans with autographed CD Album! Hallo!! I want one too!!

Colosseo

Not sure what is that... a view I took from the bus.

Fontana di Trevi

Pantheon

I met Gepetto!!!! He owns the most coolest shop in whole Rome!!

Basilica di San Pietro in Vaticano

Me with St Peter's Basilica!

All in all, Rome was really cool! I'll definately come back one day!!

Amsterdam Class Trip

So yeah, I was in Amsterdam again with my class this time...
Wanted to upload more photos but Blogspot got abit of problem so I can't upload the rest up. Anyway, I'll upload the rest when Blogspot is normal again.
Amsterdam is roughly about 2 hours from our school, or maybe more with traffic jams. Too long for some of us until we fall asleep on the ground.
Hallo Jan! LOL! Behind the H&M plastic you can see Luca sleeping...

I find this so hillarious... Sorry we're OPEN???

Amsterdam during Autumn. Look at how yellow the trees are.

Snow in Autumn???

Ok lah, it isn't something new for those living in the south of Germany... It has already begun to snow... But, haha... It isn't snowing in my region, BUT there is snow in... Düsseldorf. Why?? Because the Skiing World Cup is held there! Of course, it isn't real snow... Kinda funny tho, like every other place ain't snowing only the ski path has snow.

Tadahhhh.... snow.....

Look so real right??? But, pity... it ain't real...

but who cares right? It's still snow what. A lil bit harder than usual but still counted as 'snow'. So what do we do??

We make it into snow balls lah!

Then make those cartoons our target!! MUAHAHAHAA!
