Counting down the days that passed

Reason I Live...

Haha... Yea, it's a Hillsong United song... Which got stuck in my head whole morning...

Jesus You are the reason I live...

Which is very true... Don't you just find Him so awesome?? In last Friday's Assumption Vigil, the Archbishop reminded us to be thankful for everyone who we take granted of. Mother Mary, God, Jesus, our parents, our family, our friends... How many times we don't express our gratitude for these amazing people?

It just hit me... How many times when I was down, or that close to giving up... He was always ALWAYS there... Sometimes I remember to say thanks, sometimes I don't even remember... How many other people would patiently wait for you, how many other people would still love you unconditionally, how many people would still do anything in the world to help you... eventhough you forgot who was behind all that?

What I realised it that, God won't give you things straight away, you need to work hard to earn it... and when you least expect it, He'll shower His blessings upon you... So to all of you out there who has doubts, don't give up... Continue to work hard and continue to pray...

Dearest Father, for all the amazing things that You showered upon me, with all my heart I thank You... Thank You for loving me... Thank You for giving up Your life in the cross for me, Father... Thank You for giving me the best parents here on earth... Thank You for giving me my lovely siblings... Thank You for giving me such a wonder family... Thank You for giving me a loyal and loving bf... Thank You for those little people I can trust as friends... Most of all Lord, thank You...

Fatty Bum Bum...

LOL!

My blog is getting a little dusty... the effects of laziness... I can't be bothered to blog about trips, 'coz all my photos are on Facebook, and that tells basically the whole story...

Anywayyy, this is a complain post... lol... I don't know why recently I've been having a gazillion-and-one cravings!! It ranges from asam fish to tom yum soup to bread... Not just any other bread, but Subway's Honey Oat Bread... And then... not to forget chocolate as well...

Oh, did I mention I scare the shit out of Suh Cing the other day when we went out? Haha... I didn't have breakfast so I was starving when I met her, so we decided to grab lunch... and I wanted something sour and spicy... Haha, she thought I was pregnant... Which so obviously I'm not... Ok fine, I don't know if it's obvious or not, but I'm not!! Really... Anyway, I managed to finish my huge portion of sambal chicken (I didn't get something sour in the end) and still feel hungry like 30 minutes later. LOL! Even I was freaked out!!

Damnn... I envy those girls who can eat anything, and not put on any weight! It's so unfair!! Sighhh... I think I should put this weight craze behind me 'coz it's not going anywhere... Haha... I mean... We're never contented with what we are.... When we were 45kg, we want to be 40... When we are 50, we wished we were 45... When we hit 55, we complain and wanna be 50 eventhough at 50 we wanted to be 45.... Then we reach 60 and that's when we freak out and actually wanna do something to be 55 again... and it goes on and on and on... Oh, and then there's the other side, where people want to gain weight, but they lose weight so easily and fast... And bla bla bla...

When will we ever be happy with what we have? I guess never... it's human nature to always want something we don't have... Hence, Economics... Haha...

Dementia Test

LOL... I find these tests really hilarious... yesss, 'coz I always fail them... XD

Sooo.... here's another one to boggle your mind. Have fun guys!

You're participating in a race. You overtake the second place runner, what position are you in?

Answer: If you answered first, dude, you're wrong... If you over take the second place runner, you take their position, and so, you're the second place runner.

To answer the second question, don't take as much time as you did for question one.

If you're in a race, you overtake the last person... then you are?

Answer: If you answered second to last, then you're WRONG again... Haha, how can you overtake the last person?

Having fun yet? :P

Okie... for this question... Do the math in your head... DON'T CHEAT!!

Add 40 to 1000, and now add another 1000. Add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20 and add another 1000. Now add 10. What's the total?

Answer: Did you get 5000? WRONGGGGG!! It's 4100. Don't believe? Check with your calculator. XD

Okie.... The torture is gonna end soon... This question's really simple... =)

Mary's father have 5 daughters. Nana, Nene, Nini, Nono and? What's the fifth daughter's name?

Answer: Did you get Nunu? Read the question again... Haha... The answer's in the question.

Last question...

There is a mute person who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing teeth he successfully espresses himself to the shopkeeper and got to purchase a toothbrush. Now, if there's a blind man who wants to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself?

Answer: He just opens his mouth and ask... He's not mute!!

LOL!! I know right? I was thinking of an action of putting on sunglasses... Damnnn, my brain isn't working!!

R.I.P

Lives come and go... it may be your grandfather 1 year... your friend few months later... your old neighbour another... What comfort can we offer to the grieving except ensuring that their love ones are at a place better than our world, somewhere they'll never ever have to suffer ever again, with our Holy Father looking after them...

Some of you may have read the tragic story of Gary Leon Robert in the papers... Well, he was a friend of a friend of a friend... Basically, somebody who I don't know... But knowing that he's a friend of somebody who you know... hearing their story... suddenly make him no longer a random death anymore. He was a good son, a good uni student, active church member, good friend... He isn't the first sports death I know of... But somehow his story is even sadder as his family don't know what exactly happened to him, some suspecting foul play, however reports saying "death due to dehydration". Hopefully God will shed some light to bring closure to his family and friends.

Few years ago, I read about a Singaporean triathlete who was only 4 months older than me. He collapsed at the finishing line after beating his personal best record... only to be found unable to regain consciousness after that. He was also a good son, an all rounder, a good friend...

Which kinda reminded me of the year I sat for my SPM, the year my grandpa passed away... and also the same year my friend drowned during a Scout's camp. He was the oldest and only son, was gonna sit for SPM, a really good friend to all, had a girlfriend... and suddenly he isn't there anymore...

All these makes me think... Life is short... You never know when your time is up... Sports death actually scares me the most I guess... being once an athlete, I understand what's it like during your big game... You push yourself even more than the max to get that gold medal. Your body may tell you it's tired, but your mind persuades just a little more... almost there... until you don't feel any pain except the burning desire to step up on that bloody podium... Haha.. yes, I'm damn competative... sadly I don't know where that competativeness went to...

The year my grandpa died made me realised every single day there's somebody dying... A classmate's grandma passed away the week before my grandpa's passing, a girl in church suddenly died in her sleep, a friend drowned, a neighbour passed of old age... recently I found out that a senior in my school passed away due to cancer... few weeks later the landlord of my friend passed away too... and on his funeral, my friend found out one of his friends died of kidney cancer...

I guess the take home message is, treasure your love ones every single day... you never know when you might not be able to see them again...

This post is dedicated to all those who have left the world before us... May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest eternally in peace. Amen.
