Dementia Test

LOL... I find these tests really hilarious... yesss, 'coz I always fail them... XD

Sooo.... here's another one to boggle your mind. Have fun guys!

You're participating in a race. You overtake the second place runner, what position are you in?

Answer: If you answered first, dude, you're wrong... If you over take the second place runner, you take their position, and so, you're the second place runner.

To answer the second question, don't take as much time as you did for question one.

If you're in a race, you overtake the last person... then you are?

Answer: If you answered second to last, then you're WRONG again... Haha, how can you overtake the last person?

Having fun yet? :P

Okie... for this question... Do the math in your head... DON'T CHEAT!!

Add 40 to 1000, and now add another 1000. Add 30. Add another 1000. Now add 20 and add another 1000. Now add 10. What's the total?

Answer: Did you get 5000? WRONGGGGG!! It's 4100. Don't believe? Check with your calculator. XD

Okie.... The torture is gonna end soon... This question's really simple... =)

Mary's father have 5 daughters. Nana, Nene, Nini, Nono and? What's the fifth daughter's name?

Answer: Did you get Nunu? Read the question again... Haha... The answer's in the question.

Last question...

There is a mute person who wants to buy a toothbrush. By imitating the action of brushing teeth he successfully espresses himself to the shopkeeper and got to purchase a toothbrush. Now, if there's a blind man who wants to buy a pair of sunglasses, how should he express himself?

Answer: He just opens his mouth and ask... He's not mute!!

LOL!! I know right? I was thinking of an action of putting on sunglasses... Damnnn, my brain isn't working!!

R.I.P

Lives come and go... it may be your grandfather 1 year... your friend few months later... your old neighbour another... What comfort can we offer to the grieving except ensuring that their love ones are at a place better than our world, somewhere they'll never ever have to suffer ever again, with our Holy Father looking after them...

Some of you may have read the tragic story of Gary Leon Robert in the papers... Well, he was a friend of a friend of a friend... Basically, somebody who I don't know... But knowing that he's a friend of somebody who you know... hearing their story... suddenly make him no longer a random death anymore. He was a good son, a good uni student, active church member, good friend... He isn't the first sports death I know of... But somehow his story is even sadder as his family don't know what exactly happened to him, some suspecting foul play, however reports saying "death due to dehydration". Hopefully God will shed some light to bring closure to his family and friends.

Few years ago, I read about a Singaporean triathlete who was only 4 months older than me. He collapsed at the finishing line after beating his personal best record... only to be found unable to regain consciousness after that. He was also a good son, an all rounder, a good friend...

Which kinda reminded me of the year I sat for my SPM, the year my grandpa passed away... and also the same year my friend drowned during a Scout's camp. He was the oldest and only son, was gonna sit for SPM, a really good friend to all, had a girlfriend... and suddenly he isn't there anymore...

All these makes me think... Life is short... You never know when your time is up... Sports death actually scares me the most I guess... being once an athlete, I understand what's it like during your big game... You push yourself even more than the max to get that gold medal. Your body may tell you it's tired, but your mind persuades just a little more... almost there... until you don't feel any pain except the burning desire to step up on that bloody podium... Haha.. yes, I'm damn competative... sadly I don't know where that competativeness went to...

The year my grandpa died made me realised every single day there's somebody dying... A classmate's grandma passed away the week before my grandpa's passing, a girl in church suddenly died in her sleep, a friend drowned, a neighbour passed of old age... recently I found out that a senior in my school passed away due to cancer... few weeks later the landlord of my friend passed away too... and on his funeral, my friend found out one of his friends died of kidney cancer...

I guess the take home message is, treasure your love ones every single day... you never know when you might not be able to see them again...

This post is dedicated to all those who have left the world before us... May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest eternally in peace. Amen.

Missing home...

Ok... Just gonna rant for 1 sec... ARGHHH!!!! IwannagohomeIhateAustraliabitchypeoplearghhhhh!!!!

I miss home where there's no bitchy bus drivers or people-serving-thingy or bitchy people... I know I know... I'm sure we have that too back home... But I rarely meet those people!!!! I miss driving, then you are the ones that bitch about the traffic or the bloody driver who doesn't signal, or the inconsiderate dude who just cut you... at least it isn't any bus driver who had a bad day and decided to pick on you... TUTTUTTUTTTT... but this post wasn't sparked by any bitchy bus drivers... noooo.... just people who are impatient and rude... can't believe you even got a job... arghhh!!!

I can't believe I just stood there while my face got redder and hotter... I should've just walked out... K fine... was my fault... I didn't read... I must make a mental note... like READ BEFORE ENTERING... Subway didn't teach me a lesson... I could've saved money... I walked in ordered... realised I should've ordered something else and save more money... IF I learnt to read first, and IF I was strong enough to resist the temptation of spending money to eat... It wouldn't have happened... Yup... LESSON LEARNT!

Do you wonder why life is so unfair at times? Why the good guys always dies and the bad guys always get away? or how some people who seriously deserve scholarships didn't get them? or how some good people end up poor? and stuff? or you work so hard only to find out you didn't get the promotion you wanted?

I miss home... T.T I wanna go home... At least when if feels like the world's against you, you know that your family's always there at home to make things better... like some stupid joke your sister told you, or something interesting happened in school that your brother told you, or Mum cooked your favourite food, or Dad says let's go out for dinner...

Anyways... I'm ok now... fuh~ I just wanna go home...

It started with a movie, and ended with a movie

Before I start this post... Just tell you first... no photos 'coz I lazy get from Bryan... LOL... Sorry Soph, if you're reading this... Time flies, can't believe 2 weeks passed just like that, but it was fun and it'll be something I'll remember...

Soooo... Soph came on 30th of July [I think, I can never remember when they touched down Brisbane]... Arrived in the evening at the humble apartment on 123 Central Ave. Less than few hours later... suddenly got urge to go watch the lastest movie that was released, Transformers. Armed with a jacket and jeans, we walked to the cinema, got our Cold Rock Ice-cream, and watch our movie.

2 weeks later... It ended with a movie.... yup... at 9.50pm on 15th of July... We ended the hols with watching Harry Potter's latest movie. Well, at least Elise and I watched... Bryan and Soph were sleeping... Didn't realised Soph was sleeping but I nudged Bryan a couple of times... Kinda reminds me of my dad. He used to sleep in movies too... Haha...

Oh wells, this is almost the end to the hols... 1 and 1/3 weeks left... and it'll be uni again... I just can't wait for uni... Can't believe I'm saying this... XD

Rainfest in Brissy...

God is so good... He must be thinking... since I wanted to go to Rainfest so much, let me enjoy "Rainfest" in Brisbane la... Micro scale... Hahaha... I didn't realised until I was walking down Queen Street Mall and heard music similar to those you hear in Rainfest.

It alllllllllllllllllllllllll started on Friday night. We were in South Bank eating Mediterranean dinner to celebrate Sophia's friend, Elise's Birthday. It was awesome... Greek music, Greek dances, belly dances... and then after dinner, Bryan and Sophia wanted to Salsa... So we went across to road... but it wasn't happening enough, so we walked all the way to Brisbane Square. 3/4 of the way we heard loud nice Latin music. Bryan was so excited... And then... This mass of people greeted our sight.

There was a Colombian band playing LIVE Latin music!!! How awesome was THAT?!!! There were SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many people dancing... I never saw SO MANY people dancing outdoors like that. Soph and Bryan did a bit of Salsa... Haha... Me? Nahhhh, I can't dance! What ya talking about... XD Anyway, just listening to the music, listening to Spanish lyrics and looking at heaps of Spanish speaking hot people around you dancing, is enough.. =)

On Saturday, I had a lazy day... And then... Ollie introduced me to Jerry Kamit. I think he's an Iban singer who plays the sape or something like that la. He performs at Rainfest... So I YouTubed him. And my night was spent listening to Jerry Kamit's sape music and other Orang Ulu music.

Then on Sunday, which was today... We were having our $2 steaks again when we decide to go to Queen St Mall to check out the trains timetable. Walk-walk-walk... we heard this African like sounding music... Suddenly I started jumping and excitedly told Bryan, "OMIGODRAINFESTMUSIC!!!!". Haha...

This band, Jambezi is an Australian band based in Sunshine Coast. Their music is sort of fusion between African beats, Gypsy spirit and a bit of downtown disco. Their music really make you wanna dance!!

Even this grandma, yes the one in the gray shirt and red pants... SHE WAS DANCING LIKE MAD!! How awesome right?!! When on earth do you get to see an old lady grooving like that!! She inspires me to dance!!! Haha... Awesome mannn!!

Yea, rainfest right? Music, grooving and all... Haha... =D

Results are out...

Yeaps.... Purposely checked at 12am... but the uni site was down so I only found out my results at 2am... after two movies - "Harold and Kumar" and "Borat", and a number of shots... Hehhh...
So nervous typing in my student ID and password and waiting for the site to load... I didn't do too bad, I scored my goal... I got GPA of 6... =) Business Law screwed my results la... haih... but I got a 7 for German... which is super happiness... XD

After that... I called Dad... haha.. I know... it was like 12am in Malaysia... woke them up... whoopss... at least it was good news... Parents are happy... which makes me happy... meaning I didn't waste their money and my efforts weren't in vain... =D

On a sadder note.... after that... it was just in time for Michael Jackson's memorial service... Then emo a bit... now also emo.... watching some of the memorial video clips now 'coz I didn't get to watch the whole service last night... too sleepy... It was really touching what Paris said about her dad... to us Michael was the King of Pop or the King that went wacko.. but we forget that he was a wonderful dad to 3 gorgeous children...

Rest in peace, Michael...
