Boat Drama in Gold Coast...

My aunt and uncle came from KL on Thursday, so we had a huge family gathering again last weekend. Woohoo! The best part is that they're all in Gold Coast, all the more reason to head down south! =D Anyway, my uncle who owns a boat decided to bring us for a spin around the coast and to collect some sea cucumber. I didn't know they just lie on the sea bed! LOL!!

This is a view of Surfers from the boat. It was beautiful!!

We were supposed to leave the house by 9am, but there were some problems with the battery so by the time we actually left, it was already 11am... The sun was shining, so it was really a good time to go out on the boat. There were heaps of other people on boats too. Everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather and the shining sun...

My uncle's boat.

Everything was going fine and according to plan, except the part when we got slightly lost. LOL! They had a good harvest... still within the legal allowance... don't worry... didn't break any rules... ;) And then, on the way back... That's when the drama began!!

The tides were going down so fast that it was really difficult to manoeuvre the boat. That was also because of the winds as well. We had to make sure we didn't go into the shallow parts and keep only to the deep part. But it's so hard to see, and we were also rushing for time... We got stuck a couple of times, but we always manage to free ourselves. So when we got really stuck, as in stuck, stuck... I didn't realise that we were... stuck...

Both my uncles had to come down from the boast, the water was only waist deep, to try free the boat. Luckily despite the strong winds and the fast residing tide, they managed to get the boat free. We thought the episode was over until we saw a sign that said, "EXIT TO COOMERA". Damnnn, we have been driving the wrong direction! Suppose to be heading down south, but we went up north! It started to get cold when the sun set with the wind blowing into our faces. But luckily we managed to survive the drama without anyone getting hurt, except my uncle who got a cold after that...

Anywayyy, more photos!!

Cousins running to the top of the sand dunes...

Before the drama we got to stop at a beautiful beach! Not many people so we basically had the beach to ourselves and a couple of others. Caught some crabs... lol.. actually it was only a small baby crab...

Cousin's hand holding the tiny little baby crab...

It was so fun and I'm so glad I went... Destress myself and eat yummy delicious food... sheesh, I can still taste the pavlova.... yummmm.... and the chocolate cake my aunt baked... ahhhh.... Ok ok... enough of food... too much food intake over the weekend already! Haha!

So yup.. that was my weekend... have to stop and do some reading now.. =( just now during Psyc tutorial we had this little quiz thingy and I had NO IDEA how to answer most of the questions!! badddddd!!!!

Supposed to catch the 11.32am bus to uni today... Had lectures at 12pm... The bus was full, so it didn't stop... Fine, still got another one at 11.34am... That too didn't stop at my bus stop, instead it stop at the bus stop after mine... We all were like WTH!!!! Sooo, quickly went to the main road there as more buses stop there... Mana tahu so soi just as I was turning into the street, the bus passed me... The next bus was at 12.04... cilaka...

Late la for lecture... 30 minutes late... So paiseh! Haihhhhh....

Anywayyy, signed up for Body Step.. it's some kind of aerobics thingy la... 1st step in losing weight.. hahaa.. fuyoooo, mau mampos aku do the steps just now... jump here, step there... Tiring mannnn!!! This better make me lose weight!! lolll!!

We are all Irish on St Pats =D

It's a day where people dig up their greens and go to the nearest Irish pub and down some Guinness in the spirit of St Patrick's!!

I was introduced to St Pats 2 years ago by my host dad in Germany. It was also my first Guinness ever... Anyway, I couldn't help getting caught up in the excitement! There were tables and tables of people wearing St Patrick's Day hats and drinking more and more Guinness... I wanted one too but you had to drink 10 huge pints of Guinness to get a free hat!! I couldn't even finish my pint!! But the atmosphere was great, the Irish band was awesome!!

Fast forward 2 years, and here I am in Brisbane celebrating St Pats!! WOOHOO!! Only, without the winter jacket, scarf and boots.. LOL!! I looked forward for this day for weeks, ahaha... Actually 'coz I mistakenly thought St Pats was last week... Too bad I missed the parade, but at least I got to listen to some bagpipes.. =D They were awesome!!

Esther and I were so excited yesterday (17/3/09)... we kept going on and on about St Pats, and we wanted the Guinness hat sooo much!! Guess what?!! The Uni bar had an offer for 2 Guinness you get a free hat... At first I wanted to wait for Bryan so that he'll drink for me... but then Esther was worried that they will run out of hats... good call on her, we went during lunch to get our hats! I can't believe I down a Guinness! Surprisingly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... it wasn't stout though, it was draught... in a can!!! We donated our other Guinness to the kind guys who offered their sits for us.. Haha... They were funny!!

In the evening we went to the city to Irish Murphy's, the best Irish pub in town... I always wanted to go there to listen to their live bands, but never got to it... hehe.. THE LINE WAS SOOOO LONGGG!! It was sooo packed inside! People where spilling drinks everywhere and on everyone and stepping on everybody's feet! Kinda reminded me of Germany tho.. lol!!

Met a couple of Irish guys... Haha, the funny thing was, the whole night everyone was asking, "Are you Irish?" so when my friend asked the guy is he Irish, he was like, "No, I'm from Spain."... YEAH RIGHT!! Haha...

After all that commotion, finally Bryan arrived after his orchestra practise... the girls wanted to get back early, but Bryan, Regina and I stayed... Had a round of Kilkennys and Bryan promised us that he'll play after the beer.

Then we realised that our last bus was in 8 minutes!! We had to run, but he still managed to play on the way to the bus stop!!! He was like, ok ok ok, grab my case, zip it... ok.. I'm going to play!! LOL!!

Then running towards King George Station, a random Aussie gal run up to Bryan.
Girl: OMG! Is that a violin?!!
Bryan: Er, no... it's a viola...
Girl: Oh!
Bryan: But it's kinda the same as the violin only bigger...
Girl: Can I play? Can I play???
Bryan: Sure but we have to be fast, our bus is leaving in 5 minutes...

And then the girl started playing, and damnnn, SHE WAS GOOD!!! Haha... Anyway, it was fun! Bryan made a new friend.. hahaa!! =D

Happy St Patrick's people!!

Man Utd got Unlucky...

I swear the guy who was doing the live commentary on ESPN website is a Liverpool supporter... Urgh... It's annoying enough that I have to read what's going on instead of watching the action, and to lose 1-4!!

Argh, so annoying!!! Home ground some more... Bahh!!

BUT!! Anyways, we're still leading... Back at you Liverpool!!

EMO-ING...

I feel so emo now after releasing my annoyance of the bank.. haha... haihss...

Is there such thing as movie cravings??? =(

I WANNA WATCH LOVE IS CINTA!!!!!

I also wanna watch Ada Apa Dengan Cinta again... huhuhuhu!!

How la tok?? I really really really wanna watch a jiwang movie and cry cry cry la... T.T I'm serious... I wanna watch jiwang Indonesian movies!!! =(

I feel so jiwang...

Moneyless...

Aok, benar tok aie!! I'm really really REALLY moneyless!!

Ok, the story's like this... 3 weeks ago I applied for a new bank keycard (ATM card) which acts as both a credit card as well as a debit card... Normally it'll arrive after 5-7 working days. So... the first week passed... I told myself, don't kanchiong first... Maybe it'll come soon... Middle of the 2nd week, I panic, I mean, cannot be so long what... I applied same day with my friend, and she got it within the 1st week!! So I went to the bank...

Waited for my turn, a lady was serving the counter... So...

Lady: Hi, how can I help you?
Me: Erm, I applied for a new keycard 2 weeks ago. It hasn't arrived yet...
Lady: Ok, let me check for you. Do you have any ID on you?
Me: I have my current keycard. Is it ok?
Lady: Yup! That's great.
[typed something with the computer... couple seconds later...]
Lady: Well, the card was only ordered last week. It should arrived sometime this week. (smiles sweetly)
Me: (looks embarressed) Owh... ok... sorry... thanks... (quickly go out)

But the thing was, I knew very well I applied the bloody card 2 weeks ago. My friend got hers ages ago!!!! Ok, sabar jak la, maybe the bank order slow. So... I waited, waited and waited...

Then drama... yesterday I went to do grocery shopping, wanted to pay using my debit card... ACCESS DENIED... WTH?!! Ok.. nevermind.. maybe enter wrong pin number. I know got money in my bank, I baru transfer to pay rent two days before... Luckily my housemate was there, she paid for the expenses this week...

Sooo... today... I wanted to buy something, tried using my card again... SIK PAT JUAK!!! I tried TWICE!!

BANK DENIES ACCESS

Shit... fine pay cash, so... went to the ATM machine to draw money, and see whether it works there or not... put in card, enter password, withdraw, $40, everything appears like normal... and then... something about access denied and the machine detained my card... I'm like... WTH man!!!!

SO... I am moneyless at the moment... No more lunch outside, no more outside dinner, no more spontaneous beer drinking anymore...

I'M GOING STRAIGHT BACK HOME AFTER UNI! STARVE DURING LUNCH BREAKS!!

I think that means no St Patrick's Day celebration for me... T.T

Updates... =D

So sorry to everyone out there... haha... I know my blog collecting dust... I feel so lazy to blog about the rest of my holidays in Malaysia so I'll just skip that part. I'll just roughly tell you what happened on the Australia leg of the trip...

Was feeling so emo at the time... Fuyo, nangis tak henti-henti for no particular reason. Quite proud of myself though, at least at the airport with my sis, aunty, cousin, cousin's friend and Ko I managed to not cry... after that... mula gik... haha... for days I cannot stop crying... scary you know... since Tuesday night, the night before I left Kuching... until about 1 week in Brisbane... ANYWAYYY, enough about the emo part...

Uni life... what can I say... SOOOO DIFFERENT FROM FOUNDATION, HIGH SCHOOL, PRIMARY SCHOOL, KINDY and etc.. you get the idea la kan? Haha... I mean, the lectures so huge... no one speaks to you unless it's your friend... tutorials people like damn smart like that answer questions... and then you pulak blur there... LOL!! Ohh, then kan the uni at first I thought was HUGE, but now after 2 weeks, actually 3 weeks if you count the orientation week, it doesn't seem to be that big afterall. My lectures, tutorials and contact classes made me walk almost the whole of uni already... Haha, only part I never been to is the School of Music and some other parts la... LOL..

I just finished my Law online test which I have been "stressing" over since the past Tuesday... Oh wells, I got 2 wrong out of 5 questions... dumb mistake la 'coz I encountered technical problems as I was doing, had to email my lecturer and etc... Anyway, boring chapters la.. haha, the only interesting part was the litigation process. =P

Other than Business Law, I'm taking Anthropology, and German as my electives... it's still in the boring part... My Anthropology lecturers and tutors know where Sarawak is!! haha.. sorry, lame... One of them is doing a research on North Borneo (us la that means) on the craftwork... cool right? =D Then of course my core, Psychology.. which is also boring... Oh, and it's part of the course requirements to be guineapigs... So far I'm being guineapigs for 4 research... so far nothing major except answering questionaires. haha..

Basically, that's uni... I keep reminding myself that I need to get a job... so far not actively looking for one, so doesn't make me part of the unemployment statistics. lol... but I will be... soon... wish me luck!
