My Damnnnn SUAYYYY Weekend!!!

You guys probably didn't know about this... sighhh... thinking about it makes me feel damn sad and suay all over again! But I better blog this before I run out of time! It suddenly feels like I lost all my time and there isn't any left. =( It all started on Friday (27/3/09).

I woke up on Friday feeling all fresh and motivated. Hehe... After how many months of putting off looking for a job, I finally got out! So feeling nice and all, I went out to get that job! The thing is, we only have 2 sets of keys, and 3 people living in the apartment. Temporary thing, but anyway, as usual I have this damn paranoid feeling just like the time the bus didn't stop for me causing me to miss 30 minutes of lecture. That's another story, and I think I've blogged about it already so won't go there. So... upon closing the door, I have this usual feeling of forgetting to bring something. I sort of brushed it away 'cause I always get this feeling. But the second I closed the door, I remembered... My purse!! I left it inside the house!!! Shit... So... Me outside, purse inside... HOW?!!! Called my friend who has the keys, she wasn't free to come back, my other friend was having lectures. Die... how??? no money... Well, only $1.50. I remembered putting in my go card and student ID in my bag, but don't know why when I really REALLY need it, I couldn't find it... Sighh, must have left it at home... Somehow I was a little lucky, a friend who's living like 10 minutes away from me who was supposed to be in uni at that time, was running a little late so he was still at home the time I called him. At least I'm no longer moneyless... Hop on the bus bought a zone1-zone2 daily adult ticket... cilaka... so expensive!! $5.80!!! Right after that... I found my go card and student ID!

Anyway, the interview went fine, but I need to audition before I get to be a music teacher... not sure how will it go, but will update you guys on that later... So Saturday I got up early to go to uni to practise the piano... I thought my suayness was gone, but apparently not... Reached the uni, I walked to the bookstore to get my pieces printed out... and guess what? The printing section was CLOSED!!! So I had to walk all the way to the library... To print in the library we have to scan our student ID... It's where our printing credit is stored... High tech aye... =D After that practise piano for a few hours and then I got hungry. I was supposed to wait for a friend but he ditched me because he was "studying" and it was "raining". But it was la... lol! So I went to the uni Subway to find that it was CLOSE! But got people inside ok... So I didn't wanna look like a lunatic tugging pulling the doors of the refectory... I thought since I wanted to go to the city, just eat lunch there. Waited for the bus... when the bus came... I pulled out my bus ticket to find that my student ID wasn't there... Didn't think much of it, maybe I threw it in the bag in morning. I couldn't find it anywhere!! But too late already, I'm in the bus on the way to the city! I totally lost my appetite after that. I quickly went to Alan's to rent a violin after which I found out I couldn't bring it back 'cause I have no proof of address... Haih!! After a forced quick lunch I hurried back to uni to look for my student ID. Luckily for me it was with the librarian...

Then... yup... You guessed it... It continued into Sunday... I woke up late... so I missed mass at the church 2 minutes away from me... But I got ready to take the 9.10am bus to the mall to catch a bus to the city. I was still thinking you know, "Wah, lucky I check the online transport info... If not I'd be waiting for the train which comes every hour and would miss mass!". Was the the bus stop early... then at 9.10am... guess what... I realised I didn't have a proof of address with me, which meant I couldn't rent the violin!! Yup, I ran back home to get it... Just as I closed my door, I heard the bus passed... ARGHH! Nevermind, excercise... 15 minutes later I reached the bus interchange at the mall to find that it was close for maintainance work. I had to find another bus stop which the buses to the city now stop at. They said it was opposite Myers so I walked to Myers to find all the entrance closed!! So I walked and walked and went out the wrong exit... I walked around the bloody mall for 15 minutes!! Then I panicked! I didn't wanna be late for church! Called my friend I was suppose to go to mass together... and he told me that the bus stop which was outside Myers is opposite BP near KFC. Okieeee... I technically ran outside the mall to BP... and I couldn't see any bus stop!!! I was walking here and there and I couldn't see any bus stop!! Then I saw this whole group of people walking from across the street which I presume where the bus stop was, so I walk across but I wanted to make sure so I asked a couple of Asian people who DIDN'T EVEN HIEW ME AT ALL!!! I was in the middle of the road then... The traffic light was flashing red... and I didn't know where to go.. and THAT was when I saw the bloody bus stop. and I miss my bus... and I was 15 minutes late for church!

But after that things got better... =D Met this famous guy but I didn't know at that moment... Some host for SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE AUSTRALIA. He was interviewing some girls at that time... but I wanted to get my violin so I didn't stay and watch... no cam with me either so that's why no photo... but I did see him ok! Got my violin, and then decided to go uni to practise again... my friend also was part of the reason why I was motivated to go uni. I think if he said he was going home I probably would've went home too.. but he wanted to do some readings... So ok... head to uni... but the near the piano got so many people... so paiseh! Waited for the people to go away first. Then we met this really friendly Aussie guy...who happened to play the clarinet for 19 years and has been in 140 concerts!! From him we knew that there was a concert going on that's why many people... I was like, HENG!!! Lucky didn't start playing, if not damn sia soi! There were many musicians at the place!!! He was really really nice, and we got to listen backstage to a free concert! AND THEY WERE AMAZING!!!

Somehow despite my unluckiness, it always has a tint of luckiness hidden there too... hmmmm.... I hope my unluckiness ends there... I cannot afford to be unlucky this week and next week!!! Because of all these drama, I now find that I have got 2 tests this week... 1 test, 1 annotated bibliography which weighs 20% and a draft intro paragraph to hand in next week!! Audition this Wednesday!! Sighhh... busy busy.... and I don't know how to write this annotated bibliography crap... I hate academic writing... =(

Dedicated to my darling...

Somebody won't be at home when I come back in November...

He holds a special place in my heart and nothing can replace that! He was there when I entered secondary school. He was there to pick me up... He'll call me in the distance so that just as he's turning into the street I'd hear him and get ready. He taught me how to drive. He protected me when I was driving. He'll never let anything happen to me.

Still remember or not the time we went to Padawan there... Raining like what, then you kenak water, but you were strong and kept going on? Remember when I was speeding you make a lot of sound so that I slow down? Remember the time when you got stuck and Dad had to get a bulldozer to get you out? Remember the time we drove all the way to Sibu and back...

I'm sorry for all the times I got angry 'coz your pick up was slow... or when your aircon cacat... or when your wiper sot... or when traffic jam and then I lepas geram at you... or when I drive you recklessly...

But mostly THANK YOU for being there for me... for giving me to confidence to drive... for being my special lucky charm that I never had a road accident before... for bringing me safely to my destinations, near or far... for making me look ganas when I'm just a small teenage girl... :P

Sighhh, I will miss you so much!!!

Boat Drama in Gold Coast...

My aunt and uncle came from KL on Thursday, so we had a huge family gathering again last weekend. Woohoo! The best part is that they're all in Gold Coast, all the more reason to head down south! =D Anyway, my uncle who owns a boat decided to bring us for a spin around the coast and to collect some sea cucumber. I didn't know they just lie on the sea bed! LOL!!

This is a view of Surfers from the boat. It was beautiful!!

We were supposed to leave the house by 9am, but there were some problems with the battery so by the time we actually left, it was already 11am... The sun was shining, so it was really a good time to go out on the boat. There were heaps of other people on boats too. Everyone was enjoying the beautiful weather and the shining sun...

My uncle's boat.

Everything was going fine and according to plan, except the part when we got slightly lost. LOL! They had a good harvest... still within the legal allowance... don't worry... didn't break any rules... ;) And then, on the way back... That's when the drama began!!

The tides were going down so fast that it was really difficult to manoeuvre the boat. That was also because of the winds as well. We had to make sure we didn't go into the shallow parts and keep only to the deep part. But it's so hard to see, and we were also rushing for time... We got stuck a couple of times, but we always manage to free ourselves. So when we got really stuck, as in stuck, stuck... I didn't realise that we were... stuck...

Both my uncles had to come down from the boast, the water was only waist deep, to try free the boat. Luckily despite the strong winds and the fast residing tide, they managed to get the boat free. We thought the episode was over until we saw a sign that said, "EXIT TO COOMERA". Damnnn, we have been driving the wrong direction! Suppose to be heading down south, but we went up north! It started to get cold when the sun set with the wind blowing into our faces. But luckily we managed to survive the drama without anyone getting hurt, except my uncle who got a cold after that...

Anywayyy, more photos!!

Cousins running to the top of the sand dunes...

Before the drama we got to stop at a beautiful beach! Not many people so we basically had the beach to ourselves and a couple of others. Caught some crabs... lol.. actually it was only a small baby crab...

Cousin's hand holding the tiny little baby crab...

It was so fun and I'm so glad I went... Destress myself and eat yummy delicious food... sheesh, I can still taste the pavlova.... yummmm.... and the chocolate cake my aunt baked... ahhhh.... Ok ok... enough of food... too much food intake over the weekend already! Haha!

So yup.. that was my weekend... have to stop and do some reading now.. =( just now during Psyc tutorial we had this little quiz thingy and I had NO IDEA how to answer most of the questions!! badddddd!!!!

Damn those Brisbane buses...

See, I knew I got reasons for this paranoia... I'm always paranoid that the bus won't stop and I'll be late for my lecture... and guess what? It happened!

Supposed to catch the 11.32am bus to uni today... Had lectures at 12pm... The bus was full, so it didn't stop... Fine, still got another one at 11.34am... That too didn't stop at my bus stop, instead it stop at the bus stop after mine... We all were like WTH!!!! Sooo, quickly went to the main road there as more buses stop there... Mana tahu so soi just as I was turning into the street, the bus passed me... The next bus was at 12.04... cilaka...

Late la for lecture... 30 minutes late... So paiseh! Haihhhhh....

Anywayyy, signed up for Body Step.. it's some kind of aerobics thingy la... 1st step in losing weight.. hahaa.. fuyoooo, mau mampos aku do the steps just now... jump here, step there... Tiring mannnn!!! This better make me lose weight!! lolll!!

We are all Irish on St Pats =D

It's a day where people dig up their greens and go to the nearest Irish pub and down some Guinness in the spirit of St Patrick's!!

I was introduced to St Pats 2 years ago by my host dad in Germany. It was also my first Guinness ever... Anyway, I couldn't help getting caught up in the excitement! There were tables and tables of people wearing St Patrick's Day hats and drinking more and more Guinness... I wanted one too but you had to drink 10 huge pints of Guinness to get a free hat!! I couldn't even finish my pint!! But the atmosphere was great, the Irish band was awesome!!

Fast forward 2 years, and here I am in Brisbane celebrating St Pats!! WOOHOO!! Only, without the winter jacket, scarf and boots.. LOL!! I looked forward for this day for weeks, ahaha... Actually 'coz I mistakenly thought St Pats was last week... Too bad I missed the parade, but at least I got to listen to some bagpipes.. =D They were awesome!!

Esther and I were so excited yesterday (17/3/09)... we kept going on and on about St Pats, and we wanted the Guinness hat sooo much!! Guess what?!! The Uni bar had an offer for 2 Guinness you get a free hat... At first I wanted to wait for Bryan so that he'll drink for me... but then Esther was worried that they will run out of hats... good call on her, we went during lunch to get our hats! I can't believe I down a Guinness! Surprisingly it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... it wasn't stout though, it was draught... in a can!!! We donated our other Guinness to the kind guys who offered their sits for us.. Haha... They were funny!!

In the evening we went to the city to Irish Murphy's, the best Irish pub in town... I always wanted to go there to listen to their live bands, but never got to it... hehe.. THE LINE WAS SOOOO LONGGG!! It was sooo packed inside! People where spilling drinks everywhere and on everyone and stepping on everybody's feet! Kinda reminded me of Germany tho.. lol!!

Met a couple of Irish guys... Haha, the funny thing was, the whole night everyone was asking, "Are you Irish?" so when my friend asked the guy is he Irish, he was like, "No, I'm from Spain."... YEAH RIGHT!! Haha...

After all that commotion, finally Bryan arrived after his orchestra practise... the girls wanted to get back early, but Bryan, Regina and I stayed... Had a round of Kilkennys and Bryan promised us that he'll play after the beer.

Then we realised that our last bus was in 8 minutes!! We had to run, but he still managed to play on the way to the bus stop!!! He was like, ok ok ok, grab my case, zip it... ok.. I'm going to play!! LOL!!

Then running towards King George Station, a random Aussie gal run up to Bryan.
Girl: OMG! Is that a violin?!!
Bryan: Er, no... it's a viola...
Girl: Oh!
Bryan: But it's kinda the same as the violin only bigger...
Girl: Can I play? Can I play???
Bryan: Sure but we have to be fast, our bus is leaving in 5 minutes...

And then the girl started playing, and damnnn, SHE WAS GOOD!!! Haha... Anyway, it was fun! Bryan made a new friend.. hahaa!! =D

Happy St Patrick's people!!

Man Utd got Unlucky...

I swear the guy who was doing the live commentary on ESPN website is a Liverpool supporter... Urgh... It's annoying enough that I have to read what's going on instead of watching the action, and to lose 1-4!!

Argh, so annoying!!! Home ground some more... Bahh!!

BUT!! Anyways, we're still leading... Back at you Liverpool!!

EMO-ING...

I feel so emo now after releasing my annoyance of the bank.. haha... haihss...

Is there such thing as movie cravings??? =(

I WANNA WATCH LOVE IS CINTA!!!!!

I also wanna watch Ada Apa Dengan Cinta again... huhuhuhu!!

How la tok?? I really really really wanna watch a jiwang movie and cry cry cry la... T.T I'm serious... I wanna watch jiwang Indonesian movies!!! =(

I feel so jiwang...

Moneyless...

Aok, benar tok aie!! I'm really really REALLY moneyless!!

Ok, the story's like this... 3 weeks ago I applied for a new bank keycard (ATM card) which acts as both a credit card as well as a debit card... Normally it'll arrive after 5-7 working days. So... the first week passed... I told myself, don't kanchiong first... Maybe it'll come soon... Middle of the 2nd week, I panic, I mean, cannot be so long what... I applied same day with my friend, and she got it within the 1st week!! So I went to the bank...

Waited for my turn, a lady was serving the counter... So...

Lady: Hi, how can I help you?
Me: Erm, I applied for a new keycard 2 weeks ago. It hasn't arrived yet...
Lady: Ok, let me check for you. Do you have any ID on you?
Me: I have my current keycard. Is it ok?
Lady: Yup! That's great.
[typed something with the computer... couple seconds later...]
Lady: Well, the card was only ordered last week. It should arrived sometime this week. (smiles sweetly)
Me: (looks embarressed) Owh... ok... sorry... thanks... (quickly go out)

But the thing was, I knew very well I applied the bloody card 2 weeks ago. My friend got hers ages ago!!!! Ok, sabar jak la, maybe the bank order slow. So... I waited, waited and waited...

Then drama... yesterday I went to do grocery shopping, wanted to pay using my debit card... ACCESS DENIED... WTH?!! Ok.. nevermind.. maybe enter wrong pin number. I know got money in my bank, I baru transfer to pay rent two days before... Luckily my housemate was there, she paid for the expenses this week...

Sooo... today... I wanted to buy something, tried using my card again... SIK PAT JUAK!!! I tried TWICE!!

BANK DENIES ACCESS

Shit... fine pay cash, so... went to the ATM machine to draw money, and see whether it works there or not... put in card, enter password, withdraw, $40, everything appears like normal... and then... something about access denied and the machine detained my card... I'm like... WTH man!!!!

SO... I am moneyless at the moment... No more lunch outside, no more outside dinner, no more spontaneous beer drinking anymore...

I'M GOING STRAIGHT BACK HOME AFTER UNI! STARVE DURING LUNCH BREAKS!!

I think that means no St Patrick's Day celebration for me... T.T

Updates... =D

So sorry to everyone out there... haha... I know my blog collecting dust... I feel so lazy to blog about the rest of my holidays in Malaysia so I'll just skip that part. I'll just roughly tell you what happened on the Australia leg of the trip...

Was feeling so emo at the time... Fuyo, nangis tak henti-henti for no particular reason. Quite proud of myself though, at least at the airport with my sis, aunty, cousin, cousin's friend and Ko I managed to not cry... after that... mula gik... haha... for days I cannot stop crying... scary you know... since Tuesday night, the night before I left Kuching... until about 1 week in Brisbane... ANYWAYYY, enough about the emo part...

Uni life... what can I say... SOOOO DIFFERENT FROM FOUNDATION, HIGH SCHOOL, PRIMARY SCHOOL, KINDY and etc.. you get the idea la kan? Haha... I mean, the lectures so huge... no one speaks to you unless it's your friend... tutorials people like damn smart like that answer questions... and then you pulak blur there... LOL!! Ohh, then kan the uni at first I thought was HUGE, but now after 2 weeks, actually 3 weeks if you count the orientation week, it doesn't seem to be that big afterall. My lectures, tutorials and contact classes made me walk almost the whole of uni already... Haha, only part I never been to is the School of Music and some other parts la... LOL..

I just finished my Law online test which I have been "stressing" over since the past Tuesday... Oh wells, I got 2 wrong out of 5 questions... dumb mistake la 'coz I encountered technical problems as I was doing, had to email my lecturer and etc... Anyway, boring chapters la.. haha, the only interesting part was the litigation process. =P

Other than Business Law, I'm taking Anthropology, and German as my electives... it's still in the boring part... My Anthropology lecturers and tutors know where Sarawak is!! haha.. sorry, lame... One of them is doing a research on North Borneo (us la that means) on the craftwork... cool right? =D Then of course my core, Psychology.. which is also boring... Oh, and it's part of the course requirements to be guineapigs... So far I'm being guineapigs for 4 research... so far nothing major except answering questionaires. haha..

Basically, that's uni... I keep reminding myself that I need to get a job... so far not actively looking for one, so doesn't make me part of the unemployment statistics. lol... but I will be... soon... wish me luck!
